Prior to making a final commitment to purchase a
yacht, a Marine Surveyor should be consulted and
hired to conduct a thorough investigation of the
vessel. The surveyor must be nationally
certified by S.A.M.S. (Societitedy of Accred
Marine Surveyors) or N.A.M.S. (National
Association of Marine Surveyors). Accreditation
by either of these agencies is necessary for
most insurance companies and lending
institutions to issue a policy or make a marine
loan. Marine surveys generally cost between
$15/foot to $20/foot depending upon the type,
age and construction of the yacht. Call for a

All licensed and certified Marine Surveyors will
provide the following services:
* PRE-PURCHASE SURVEY - Conducted for the
buyer of a new or used boat. The written report
with photos, provides a market value, evaluation
and condition, and repairs required.
* INSURANCE SURVEY - Conducted for the
insurance company issuing the policy for the
vessel. the prime factors are sea worthiness and
structural integrity.
* APPRAISAL SURVEY - Conducted for the
Lending Institution making the mortgage loan. An
extensive research and comparison effort allows
the surveyor to arrive at a fair market value.
* LOSS & DAMAGE SURVEY- Conducted for an
owner, insurance company or lending institution.
Boats are damaged for a variety of reasons, and
only a professional surveyor possesses the
expertise required to determine the extent of
the loss, and how it affects the structural
integrity, seaworthiness and value of the boat.

If you need a delivery over the road anywhere in the
U.S., Canada or Mexico, we can arrange the best
rates with the most reliable carriers. In fact, we
can assist with East-to-West Coast on-deck transport
of your yacht. Average cost about $3/mile. We
arrange overseas shipping by freighter, and cover
all paperwork and entry requirements. |
When you plan a weekend of cruising or heading out
to the fishing grounds,the last thing you want is a
problem right at the slip. Our highly experienced

Coastal Maine and New Hampshire are prime water
sport and cruising grounds for all types of yachts.
We have several waterfront properties currently
available. If you want a house on the water with a
dock, we know of several. If you are interested in a
waterfront business, marina, restaurant, boatyard,
or similar property, we usually know of a few. |

Tax Advantages can be substantial when you donate
your yacht to an IRS certified 501(c)(3)
organization. A very generous appraisal allowance is
authorized, generally 25% above the BUC price guide
value. In addition, you receive some cash back if a
"bargain sale" is consumated. Depending upon your
tax bracket, you may realize far more real dollars
through the donation process that the yacht might
